6th Dec 2004 - Nasty, noisy poncey bar. No thanks.
It's nearly aways too busy, the beer's not up to much and I don't care much for the clientele. On the rare occasion that you can get a table, the food in the downstairs bar isn't too poncey so that raises it from the bottom.

14th Nov 2004 - Trendy bar opposite Smithfield market complete with black walls and exposed industrial pipework that was a must for any bar several years back. OK for an afternoon and early evening drink, but somewhere to avoid on a Thursday or Friday as the bang bang music DJ comes along and plays way too loud. Unless you like that sort of thing of course! Oh, and there's one of those annoying blokes in the toilet who expects a few quid for squirting soap at you.

12th Nov 2004 - Yeah, really good place. Plus points: near to work, good food, decent crowd. Minus points: Jamie Oliver has been spotted here - but still, worth the risk. SOS is worth a visit morning, noon or night !

22nd Oct 2004 - I like Smiths for food (middle restaurant)or brunch (downstairs) - at least, I did when I didn't have a kid. Oh, and when my mates got there early to book a place in the Sunday afternoon queue for a table game. At least you can lounge in the big brown sofa and read The Observer while they wait for your table to become free. Mixture of healthy and unhealthy food to keep most appetites satisifed. Times I've been at night it's been a bit too loud and crowded, and a bit suity downstairs and not much fun, although the girls I've been with usually got chatted up. Usually they liked it too. And I love pissing in full view of people on the tube or working late at the office.

4th Oct 2004 - Always manically busy - you have to get there about 4pm for any chance of getting a seat. Warehouse type bar/restaurant. Food is great especially upstairs and the bar is OK -just a bit noisy.
