6th Feb 2013 - Not a bad pub at all and definitely a good escape from the high street. The burger that I had was very good and the service from the wonderfully grumpy barmaid was spot on. For clarity, it was a Sunday afternoon, I was with a pre-booked group of friends and the organiser had said 12 when about 40 turned up. The barmaid grumbled all the way through but was outstanding.

The place itself is curious. It looks dubious from the outside and in all fairness looks the same on the inside too. The front room is full of Glastonbury pictures and the back room is full of trade union pictures. Both genres are enough for me to boycott a place, but the main feeling is a relaxed one.

It is a very residential area and children of all ages are welcome so be warned.

4th Dec 2008 - Great refuge, a mere 5 minutes walk from the bustle & annoyance of Clapham high street, but a world away in atmosphere. Decent outdoor patio area shaded by bamboo in summer. Nice selection of ales & other beers. Can get overrun by kids (& yummy mummies) at times, but so long as you don't mind that, tis a fine place indeed.
