1st Mar 2012 - Great location but does get very crowded. Service is good, however. Guinness is average. It's a good pub for the summer as you can stand outside, but the inside is a little dingy and also smells a little musty. Could do with a facelift - toilets also a little tired looking.

23rd Jan 2009 - Two pubs across an alley now functioning as one. One of the few Badger pubs in London so the lagers are Hofbrau and they of course carry their own ales. Because of the location it's prone to getting very busy particularly when the local offices empty, as well as with the background level of tourists. Both halves of the pub are attractive and cosy and are best suited to afternoons to take in the historical feel. The larger half also has another room upstairs (complete with dartboard:- an oddity in this part of town). It can get crowded though.
