29th Feb 2008 - Lovely gastro, with cool dowstairs den bar low lit in red. We ate upstairs and had lovely fresh oysters, perfectly chilled and served chalis and a pan fried sea bass with cassoulet that was an original but excellent combination. Low key music, attentive friendly staff (though as a waitress-served gastro that adds 10 per cent to the bill) and quiet enough to chat but lively enough to interest, this is a great place to go for a drink and a bite in the area. Recommended - especially if the Eagle-style of gastro is a bit too loud for you.

6th Apr 2005 - Pleasant Gastro just up the road from the plethora of pubs and bars on Great Sutton Street, and better than most of them to boot. Good food (I seem to recall kangaroo sausages on the menu, so they;re not scared to be different) and a bit cheaper than the Peasant (further up St. John Street). The pub is on two floors but in all the times I've frequented I;ve never actually seen downstairs to be open, which is a shame as upstairs can get rather cramped. With a good selection of beers and wines available this is one of the better places to dine at in the area. Recommended
