7th Nov 2011 - Very nice Olde English pub with a great atmosphere, tucked away from the main road. Inside is very chilled and obviously the outside would be great for summer drinking. As prices in London go it is not overly expensive at all. Food was great. We went on a Sunday so was not busy but I can imagine after work it is hectic.

4th May 2006 - Great boozer especially in the summer when 'just the one' can turn into long evening. They open an outside bar when it starts to get really busy so getting a drink isn't too much of a nightmare. Fairly cosy rooms in the far end of the pub for winter nights - well worth a visit.

1st Jun 2005 - I've been here a number of times and been consistently underwhelmed. Yes it's nice in the summer when the Sun is out but you can say that about most anywhere. Yes it's old and quirky but those features aren't enough to redeem...

31st May 2005 - Ye olde worlde pub - actually quite atmosperic, with a great outdoors courtyard for the summer. Problems? Bit suity and touristy at times. Also full of doctors and nurses from Guys Hospital - which is either a plus or a minus dependiing on your viewpoint...

Expensive, and can get busy and hard to get served quickly.

Oh, and the best outdoors pub toilet in London.

27th May 2005 - London's only remaining galleried coaching in, The George, well the building, is actually owned by the National Trust. The pub itself is wide but not deep, and can get very full when the sun is shining. The courtyard is one of the best places around here to sit out and have drink, but get there early to get a seat. The gents toilet are outside across the courtyard, so if it's raining you're going to get wet.
