18th Jul 2012 - This is a good pub and all that has been said is true (the previous reviewer needs to update their score with one that reflects their thoughts).
I did find myself trying to work out if this was more restaurant. The restaurant area was full and you had to be eating there (it wasn't simply pub grub). The food came quickly and was satisfying, but if we weren't eating we would have struggled to sit down due to its popularity.
The main downfall is the very strict outside drinking rules which mean that you cannot stray from the pavement outside the pub, despite it being a very quiet road.
The landlord gains points for an outstanding moustache and goatee combo, and the pub itself gains points for being close to Waterloo so that you can catch up with your friends without having to suffer some of the dross that is around the station itself.
The Rose and Crown back down the road would be better on a warm evening due to its large beer garden.

9th Jul 2012 - Absolute gem of a pub. Serves 9 different real ales that have all changed every time I go in! The Thai food is great and now they do roasts every other Sunday. They are HUGE and only £10 which I think is excellent value for this area. Well done to the managers, keep up the awesome work!!

18th Oct 2007 - Quality pub. Once you mange to get a seat the bars are fanastic places to drink and chat. The atmosphere is nicely laid back and pubby and interesting ales are on offer. I have always been so content in the bar that I've never felt the urge to venture into the dining area, which does seem slightly at odds with the rest of the establishment. Well worth a visit if in the Waterloo area.

27th Jul 2007 - yeah - i liked it. Quirky, roomy, friendly, and a good place to go with some mates for the night. Bit out of the way - but worth seeking it out if you are in teh Waterloo area given how awful some of the other places are nearer the station.

2nd May 2006 - A quite fantastic little pub tucked away just east of Waterloo. Full of character the Kings Arms is cosy at the bar and the conservatory (for want of a better word:- it's really the beer garden with a glass roof) is spacious and relaxed. Menu is Thai and the portions are good but it feels a little out of place. Highly recommended.

2nd May 2006 - I enjoyed my Thai dish here. Lots of varied seating spaces, and has a mix of young and old visitors, probably due to it's location (tucked away at the end of a terrace road).

30th Apr 2006 - Nice back street boozer tucked away between Soutwark and Waterloo tubes. The front bar is your typical old pub scenario, and in the back it looks like they have roofed off the yard and created a dining area. Shame it's Thai food, this place would be much more suited to Sunday roasts. On the whole a nice, labyrinthine, nooks and cranny affair.

21st Apr 2006 - Great little pub owned by the same lot as the Windmill round the corner. Apparenytly it's fairly busy most of the time but you can usually get a seat/ledge in one of the 3 rooms. Delicious Thai food available (ok so it's slighly passť now but this is good value and v tasty). Friendly staff and a good mix of customers.
