31st Jan 2012 - Odd mix of locals, young trendies and those on their way to/from Camden for a tattoo or cheap leather jacket. Decent range of beer on tap, six lagers, couple of ciders and a few real ales for the bearded. It's one of those dark dingy places that has gone all bohemian (poetry nights, check) with weird ornaments the order of the day.
Live sport is shown which is odd given the vibe of the pub, but they clearly know their market as the sports centre up the road provides a steady stream of five-a-siders after a beer. With reactions quicker than an Egyptian taxi driver tooting someone at a green light, the sport is off and music on the second the match or half is over.
Good pub.

10th May 2006 - I was here to listen to a friend playing upstairs. This venue is used by the Barfly live music organisers, who have their main London club down the road. Apparently there are comedy nights here too. Other than that it's quite a chilled pub, a mix of old and young clientele, but a grungy decor.
